Why Choose to Specialize in Graphic Design Management?

Nearly every professional will, eventually, come into contact with a Graphic Designer. A specialization in Graphic Design Management will provide students with the knowledge to design publications and other products for their own companies or their employers and to understand designers they might be working with, an essential skill in today's collaborative work environment.

If your choose to specialize in Graphic Design Management, you will learn how to use a the industry standard Adobe Creative Suite, study two dimensional design and color theory, the history of art, publication layout and design, the requirements of digital artwork, and the protocol a designer needs to follow to during the production process.

In GDD 440, you will learn the business behind the industry as you study basic accounting and reporting procedures, business relationships, and documenting material. Students also have the opportunity to take one GDD elective with options ranging from Digital Artwork (GDD 110) to Typography (GDD 201).
