Champlain College Publishing has been created to engage as many Champlain students as possible in the field of publishing, whether as writers, editors, designers, artists, marketers, publicists, accountants or Web designers, and to give them a supervised educational experience that is creative, demanding, and applicable to the world they meet when they graduate.

What We Are

• A publishing services enterprise

• We work with authors and organizations to help them develop their ideas

• We guide our clients to the point of publication, whether in print or electronic form

• We provide post-publication support, in the form of promotion and marketing

Why This Works

• The author is the publisher and retains all the rights to his or her work

• Since we are not a publishing company, we do not glean any profits from the author's earnings — just the satisfaction of helping another author through the exciting and challenging world and self-publishing

With CCP, Champlain is once again embracing education and innovation. Our first clients were Champlain college students and faculty, publishing their first books. With this small but successful start, we hope to in the near future be working with two major non-profit organizations who want help producing books, Web sites and other publishing products, and we're open to approaches from anyone with an ambitious, worthwhile project.
