Contemporary Media Issues
| BY SCOTT MILEY
I grew up in Lexington, MA (suburb of Boston). While in high school, I took a video production course on the recommendation of a few friends, and then during the class knew it was my career calling. At Champlain College, I studied Broadcasting and graduated in May 2010. I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, cycling, skiing and martial arts.
This video was made Fall Semester 2009 as a mid-term project for Contemporary Media Issues. In the class, we were split up into groups and make a a short video about a “green” issue on campus. Our group got assigned the issue of paper use. Christina Erickson, coordinator of Sustain Champlain, told us that she would like to be in the video. We did an interview with her, got some B-roll of paper use on campus and dug up some facts about paper use on campus. I did most of the shooting and editing of the project because of my skills and by the fact I own some equipment.
