Today, successful business professionals are self-confident, problem-solving, versatile communicators who can adapt to change. They must also be skilled at assessing the current and future impact of your decisions on others. Champlain's curriculum integrates both ethical decision making and practical experience to ensure that you can discern a career path that is both honorable and rewarding.
Majors in the Business Division:
- Accounting
- Business
- Event Management
- Hotel/Restaurant Management
- International Business
- Marketing
- Paralegal Studies
Champlain also fosters an enterprising spirit. When a Small Business Management class learned how economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs could grow their businesses through micro-financing, students raised $250 to fund eight different projects around the world. You'll see that same spirit at work in faculty like Elaine Young, whose recent blog critiqued the presidential candidates' use of online social media.
Your teachers, both full-time professors and working professionals, emphasize hands-on, project-based learning through in-class experiences with businesses and connect you with career-enhancing internships. International Business professor Scott Baker helped arrange for his student, Ross Burke, to work in Russia, bringing him one step closer to his dream career in the world of international trade.
