Ann Ferrell holds a BA in Women’s Studies from SUNY New Paltz, an MA in Folk Studies from Western Kentucky University, and recently completed a doctoral dissertation, in the Department of English at Ohio State University, based on ethnographic research with Kentucky burley tobacco farmers. She is currently teaching Life Stories: Ethnographic Writing in the Professional Writing Program. In addition to Champlain College, Ann has taught courses in folklore and writing at Ohio State University and Middlebury College. When not teaching or writing, Ann is enjoying exploring Vermont.
