C.A.R.E Program

CARE program

C.A.R.E—Champlain's Achievement, Retention, and Excellence—is designed to help students succeed and thrive. We invite you to connect and engage with us; allow us to be a resource for you!

The program uses methods and concepts backed by research on the retention and success of underrepresented students, including first-generation student populations.

C.A.R.E. provides:

  • Academic support and structure
  • Mentoring
  • Horizon-expanding opportunities
  • Encouragement and support in developing a positive identity
  • Financial guidance, such as providing resources that can help with tuition and college costs

The engagement we offer through C.A.R.E. is designed to help you create your home away from home in your new campus community. Think of it as a foundation to help you thrive in college life and a base to explore your identity and strengthen the skills needed for success in college and beyond.

If you have any questions, concerns, or needs, please email diversity@champlain.edu or call 802.860.2780.
