Every year Champlain College's Build Your Own Business (BYOBiz) Program, Career Collaborative, and the Office of Advancement collaborate to present the annual Elevator Pitch Competition. The contest requires participating students to give their 90-second pitch to an executive as they ride together in a fictional elevator. There are three categories of competition:
Since 2007, the Elevator Pitch has provided students with the opportunity to learn and practice their communication, business, and entrepreneurial skills in a simulated environment.
The 2017 Finals will be held Tuesday, March 7 beginning at 8 p.m. in Champlain's Alumni Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. The audience will also have a say in choosing the People's Choice winner.

The Elevator Pitch team is delighted that this group includes representatives from the classes of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020...and...2021, as well as students from three academic divisions (CCM, ITS, SSB).
The 10th annual Elevator Pitch will be hosted by the emcee Tim Kavanagh, with "celebrity" judges and suits. The event has a new lead sponsor this year - Heritage Automotive Group.
