Champlain College has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance (IA) by the National Security Agency (NSA). The course content and curriculum meet the criteria established by the NSA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). There are only a little over 100 institutions given this designation in the United States.
The NSA and the DHS jointly sponsor the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) program. The goal of the program is to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and producing professionals with cyber defense expertise.
