The Academic Centre is a four-story building located at 525 Sherbrooke Street East. It is right next to the Sherbrooke metro station and bus route #24, which runs along the longest street in Montreal. Inside, students have access to computer labs, a kitchen/lounge area, classrooms, and administrative offices.
VIRTUAL REALITY TOUR OF THE CHAMPLAIN MONTREAL CENTRE
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Champlain Montreal, in collaboration with the Emergent Media Center and Game Studio, created a VR Tour of their Academic Centre which showcases some of their best student work made while studying here. As the player, you tour a virtual gallery of student work and can interact with elements to choose your viewing experience!
This 360 video shows you a run through of the tour without interactions:
Made by Scott Barter & Alex Frey (GDES ’18) Edited by Nick Magnus (GDES ’19).
Champlain Montreal students live in the EVO Residence Hall which is conveniently located on Rue Robert-Bourassa – about 30 minutes walking distance from the Academic Centre and above the Square-Victoria OACI metro station. You get the best of both worlds—nature and downtown! This property is located 10 minutes from downtown, 4 minutes from the Old Port, within an easy distance of the Lachine Canal and other tourist/cultural attractions. Plenty of sports bars and sidewalk cafés nearby too. Residents also have direct access to the Metro. This student apartment property features lots of natural light and open spaces. One of the best views in Montreal!”
Since the Champlain Abroad Experience encourages students to live independently, there is no pre-paid meal plan and students will be expected to budget for meals. Students can take advantage of the residence’s fully-equipped kitchens on each floor, affordable onsite café, or venture out into Montreal’s culinary landscape. With the campus being so close to the heart of the city, you are within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and markets.
