Biography

Sianay Chase Clifford, MSW (she/her/they) is a Visiting Professor of Social Work in the School of Social Innovation.

Sianay is a macro social worker and policy practitioner focused on advancing policy that serves communities that have been historically burdened with the weight of state-sanctioned policy violence and neglect. Sianay's areas of policy expertise include maternal health justice, health disparities, and economic justice, which she has been immersed in at the state, local, and federal levels of government.

Sianay also holds a position in the College's Center for Learning & Teaching as a Faculty Lead for DEIBJ and Anti-Racist Pedagogy. She has developed culturally expansive curriculum including workshops, retreats, and audits for institutions of higher education.
