Dr. Michelle Miller has served in senior leadership roles in academic affairs and the Provost's office since 2000. She began her career at Champlain College in 1987 as the Program Director and faculty member for the Radiography Program. She coordinated three allied health programs and served as interim division chairperson of the Community Services division before moving to her full-time administrative role in academic affairs.

Over the years she has helped the College to develop its learning assessment, institutional research, and curriculum development processes. She has served interim roles as director of the library, international programs, eLearning, and vice-president for academic affairs. Her current focus is on faculty governance and policy, faculty development, and student academic conduct. Since 2012, Michelle has served as the co-advisor for Champlain's Student Government Association and as a member of the Diversity Council.

Michelle earned a doctorate in Educational Technology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, a Master's degree in Education from the University of Vermont, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science from Quinnipiac University. Her research activities have investigated the role of mentorship in clinical education and designing for critical thinking development at the program level.

She has been awarded the Edward Phelps Lyman Professorship for exemplary teaching and service to the College. She is a member of the Dragonheart Vermont's Green Mountain Girls dragonboat team, which recently won the 2013 US National Championship in the Senior B Women's division.
