Champlain Communication Graduates Are Ready

Champlain's Communication graduates are carving out their own professional territory in areas such as nonprofit communications, social media management, public relations, advertising, public service, television, broadcasting, and radio. In addition to the thorough career-focused support offered College-wide, the Communication program focuses on helping students become completely market-ready or prepared for advanced graduate study.

  • Taught exclusively by experts who have extensive experience and ongoing affiliations with their respective industries, the Communication program at Champlain is a premier destination in the country for students who want an immersive, contemporary communication education.

  • Every student completes a well-balanced portfolio of sample work, including work produced for real clients.

  • Multiple internship opportunities help you both expand and refine the set of skills that will launch your successful career.

  • Your senior Communication Capstone experience will allow you to tie your career-centered Champlain education to your internship to create a distinctive reflection of your knowledge, experience, and talent.

Professional Organizations for Communication Students

Champlain encourages Communication students to join our chapter of PRSSA, the Public Relations Student Society of America, and Lambda Pi Eta (LPH), the official communication honor society of the National Communication Association. Both associations offer tangible academic and career benefits, such as opportunities for networking, scholarships, and internships.

Students in the LPH honor society will have access to a broad range of professional networking opportunities in the communication field, special recognition and rewards for their academic achievements, and connections with graduate schools. Once you are inducted, you are a lifetime member and will receive a certificate and special regalia to wear at Commencement.
