Champlain's Communication major will provide you with the specific skills that will give you the most flexibility in a fast-moving, innovative industry.
Because you'll be taking Communication courses starting in your first semester, you'll be qualified for field-relevant internships as early as your first year.
The average Communication student at Champlain completes two to three internships—and some do more. The Program Director and our Career Collaborative staff work closely with you to identify internships that align with your interests and career goals, and then coach you in writing cover letters and résumés, building interview skills, and representing yourself well in a professional environment.
In their internships, Communication majors have worked on diverse efforts like communication outreach, media relations, newsletter writing, editing, website content production, research, photography, video production, audio production, on-air radio, TV news and sports, social media, public relations, branding, blogging, legislative work, and event management.
