Why Game Art & Animation?
While the field of game art and animation represents an exploding industry that is expanding every day, there's a catch: only the most highly qualified graduates will gain entrance, so getting the right combination of education and experience will be critical to your success.
Champlain Game Art & Animation Graduates Are Ready.
In addition to the extensive career-focused programs and support offered College-wide, each of Champlain's career-focused majors features skill-building hands-on learning opportunities and other major-specific programs that help our students create highly marketable resumes. Highlights include:
- All members of the Game Art & Animation faculty are professionals in their field, which is an essential factor in our students getting the most cutting-edge education in the field possible.
- In a variety of classes, Game Art & Animation students are exposed to many programs and tools to use for their work.
- On average, Game Art & Animation majors take one internship over the course of their program, which gives them stellar resume listings and recommendations for the jobs they want. (In fact, 96% of Game Art & Animation graduates from the Class of 2017 are already employed within six months of graduating.)
- In the Game Art & Animation Capstone class seniors work together with Game Design and Game Programming majors with the end goal of creating a fully functional game.
