Career Success

The change to Game Art will be effective as of Fall 2020.

Why Game Art?

While the field of game art represents an exploding industry that is expanding every day, there's a catch: only the most highly qualified graduates will gain entrance, so getting the right combination of education and experience will be critical to your success.

Champlain Game Art Graduates Are Ready

In addition to the extensive career-focused programs and support offered College-wide, each of Champlain's career-focused majors features skill-building hands-on learning opportunities and other major-specific programs that help our students create highly marketable resumes. Highlights include:

  • All members of the Game Art faculty are professionals in their field, which is an essential factor in our students getting the most cutting-edge education in the field possible.

  • In a variety of classes, Game Art students are exposed to many programs and tools to use for their work.

  • On average, Game Art majors take one internship over the course of their program, which gives them stellar resume listings and recommendations for the jobs they want. (In fact, 96% of Game Art graduates from the Class of 2017 wealready employed within six months of graduating.)

  • In the Game Art Capstone class, seniors work together with Game Design and Game Programming majors with the end goal of creating a fully functional game.
