Study Abroad – Game Art

Want to see the world? Why wait?

Champlain makes it easy to embark on a life-changing semester in distant areas of the globe. All our majors are designed to accommodate a semester studying in a foreign country. With Champlain Abroad Dublin, Champlain Abroad Montreal, exchange programs, and third-party programs, the possibilities are nearly limitless for exploring unique landscapes and different cultures.

In addition to taking classes and living in a new place, studying abroad is an opportunity to confront your own assumptions, meet new people, embrace curiosity, and gain a richer understanding of the world by truly realizing what it means to see from a global perspective. Our Office of International Education will work with you to ensure all credits transfer and fulfill requirements for your major.

Champlain Abroad Montreal

As a Game Art major, you have the opportunity to study on our campus in Montreal, Canada—the third-largest game development city in the world. Montreal is home to a number of international game development companies, including Eidos Montréal, WB Games, Bioware, EA, and Ubisoft—just 90 miles north of our Burlington, Vermont, campus.

Montreal is ranked as one of the world's "hippest" cities by the New York Times. Our program is known for cutting-edge academics and internship placements in this city famous for its innovative economy. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, Champlain Abroad Montreal gives you professional, cultural, and dynamic experiences:

  • Experience game-industry professionals in your classroom as your instructors.
  • Attend the Montreal International Game Summit and multiple Game Jams.
  • Attend monthly meetings of the International Game Developers Association Montreal Chapter.
  • Visit a variety of companies, from Triple A Studios to startups and game incubators.
