Internships in the Game Design Major

Because you'll follow a field-relevant curriculum starting in your first semester, you'll be ready for game design internships earlier than your peers at other schools. Your academic experience sets you up to be an excellent intern—and when it's time to launch your career, your impressive internship experience will set you up to be a first-choice candidate for competitive game designer positions.

Emergent Media Center

Game Design majors may work for paid positions in the Emergent Media Center (EMC) as early as their first year at Champlain. The EMC is a collaborative studio/laboratory space where you'll use game technologies and emergent media to integrate art and code with cultural awareness, creativity, and communication on real-world game projects.
