Because you'll follow an in-depth curriculum in the Graphic Design &Digital Media major starting in your first semester, you'll be qualified sooner for internships. During your sophomore year, you will go through our Sophomore Review, where you'll gain feedback, guidance, direction from the full-time faculty members who teach in the Graphic Design program, along with critiques on where you're at in the program. In your final year, you'll complete a professional level design portfolio of your creative works and have it rigorously and individually critiqued during the Senior Portfolio Review by a panel of guest designers from top large and small design firms as well as in-house corporate design centers. When you begin to apply for internships and jobs, you'll have the tools you need to stand out in a highly competitive market.
Great internships don't just happen. You need to have developed valuable skills, created a good resume, received expert guidance, and you need an "in." At Champlain, we make sure you are well-prepared in all four areas.
