If you truly have a passion for law, problem-solving and deep analysis, then Law may be the right undergraduate program for you. As a graduate of the Law program, you will be prepared to succeed in a graduate-level legal program or take your place as a qualified law professional in law firms, government agencies, financial institutions, the judicial system or diversified areas in the corporate world.
Champlain College's Bachelor of Arts degree in Law is one of the only programs of its kind that provides its graduates with a strong foundation in law at the undergraduate level. Thanks to our Upside-Down Curriculum, you'll be taking classes like Criminal Law, American National Government and Contracts, among others during your first year at Champlain.
Employers are searching for people who can thinking critically and analytically in regards to legal issues and arguments, who are effective communicators and have a solid foundation in the law, and Champlain's Law program prepares our graduates for success. In fact, 100% of the 2017 graduates from this major are employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation, and of those who are employed, 80% are working in jobs relevant to their career goals.
Our students have gone on to intern and work for the Vermont Judicial Bureau, the Vermont Department of Labor and the State of Maine Judicial Branch of the Superior Court, along with continuing their education at New York Law School and other prestigious colleges.
