You're in—congratulations! Now come see for yourself what life could be like as a Champlain student. That's what Admitted Student Weekend is all about. This is your chance to envision yourself here: Meet your fellow classmates and current students, chat with professors, explore campus, and so much more.
Whether you've already decided Champlain is the school for you or you're still weighing your options, there's truly no better way to experience life at Champlain than joining us for Admitted Student Weekend.
We're hosting two Admitted Student Weekends in 2024 on March 22-23 and April 12-13.
This event is for students who were admitted to Champlain College for the Fall 2024 semester.
FRIDAY
Kick off your weekend at Champlain with a little bit of fun! Join our Student Engagement team on Friday night for a laid-back evening of games and gathering. You'll have a chance to meet some of your future classmates, get a taste of the kind of events that take place on campus every week-and maybe even win some prizes!
And for all the parents and families, we hope you'll join us on Friday evening for a President's Reception to celebrate this monumental time in your student's life. Chat with Champlain's President, Alex Hernandez; meet the people that make our community so special, and mingle with other family members who are going through the same college transition experience as you! Food and drink will be provided.
SATURDAY
Today's the day! You'll start your morning with a warm welcome from current students, Admissions staff members, and influential members of the Champlain community. From there, they'll set you and your family on your way to the next stop on your fun-filled day!
One of the BEST parts of Admitted Student Days is the opportunity to meet fellow admitted students, and maybe even find your future roommate! During your academic presentation, you'll be able to meet other students in your major. Certain majors will participate in an interactive activity as well, giving you the chance to collaborate with people who have similar interests as you.
Plus, there will be plenty of Student Leaders on hand to answer any questions about what it's really like to be a student at Champlain.
See all the different places you'll call home! Take a tour of our beautiful hillside campus and explore our academic buildings, library, and more-including our dining hall and its out-of-this-world view! We'll also have a special residence hall tour available to give you a closer look at the Victorian-era mansions where first-year students live (every room is unique and different!), as well as our contemporary housing for upper-year students.
How can you get involved on campus? Where will you hang out, make friends, and even make a difference? Our Information Fair will be packed with all the amazing people who will help you answer those questions and make you feel at home here. Chat with representatives from Housing & Residential Life, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Women's & Gender Center, Academic Support and Tutoring, Accommodations, Counseling Center, and more. You'll also be able to drop in to campus spaces like our Leahy Center for Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity, and others. And don't forget to check out our new, state-of-the-art Esports arena, too!
You are now a part of the Champlain family and we've got your back! Here you'll learn all about career success at Champlain, and hear from Champlain experts about the resources available to students and families to ensure that your student has a successful transition into campus life.
"Beautiful" is an understatement when it comes to our top-notch college town of Burlington, Vermont. But don't just take our word for it! After Admitted Student Day wraps up, head down to Church Street and experience all the waterfront district has to offer, from its quaint cobblestone streets to its delicious restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and artisanal stores-all set against the backdrop of stunning Lake Champlain!
