Frequently Asked Questions for Applicants

Applying to college requires many coordinated steps. There are bound to be all sorts of questions that you never thought to ask when it was truly convenient.

We are available to you at all times when the College is open, so feel free to call, email, live chat or stop by the Welcome & Admissions Center at Roger H. Perry Hall. We are happy to help.

But for those questions that may occur to you at random hours of the night—or at other times when you might want answers, but the College is closed—we put together this list of Frequently Asked Questions.

Yes. Please submit it as soon as possible to continue to be considered for Early Decision admittance. We cannot review your file without your portfolio submission. Please be sure to follow the portfolio submission guidelines for your major.

Yes. but you will still need to submit your application and other supporting documents by the January 15, 2018 deadline. We will not be able to provide you with an admission decision until you provide your self-reported score(s). (Champlain College allows first-year applicants who attend U.S. high schools to self-report test scores. Once admitted to Champlain, students will need to submit official test scores from the appropriate testing agency website: for College Board SAT use code 3291, for ACT use code 4298.)

If you were admitted as an Early Decision applicant, your deposits are due within three weeks of the date on your letter of admittance. If you are a Regular Decision student, deposits are due by May 1, 2017.

Anyone sending materials on your behalf  can email any materials to admission@champlain.edu or mail via USPS to Office of Admissions, 163 South Willard Street, Burlington, Vermont 05402. Please ask the sender to make sure that your full name is included on all submissions.
