The number of reasons to choose Champlain are numerous: our impressive-but-approachable faculty, groundbreaking Upside-Down Curriculum, transfer-friendly environment, and stunning campus views often top the list.

Below are some of the top influencing factors for people who choose to transfer to Champlain.

Top 5 Reasons to Choose Champlain

1

An Innovative Education

At Champlain, you'll experience an education unlike any other, focused on today's issues and tomorrow's challenges. Our multidimensional approach will equip you with the professional and life-management skills to reach your full potential.

Career-Focused Majors: Champlain has modern programs in more traditional fields, like Business, Education, and Communication, as well as cutting-edge majors, including Computer Networking & Cybersecurity and Creative Media. All are centered around hands-on, experiential learning. Each program is continually evolving and updated to keep up with the needs of the field.

Core Curriculum: The Core will challenge your assumptions, encourage you to think critically, develop your communication skills, and teach you to consider diverse perspectives and integrate them into a broader understanding of yourself and others. The knowledge you gain will help you evolve to be successful professional and global citizen.

InSight: Our four-year, comprehensive career and personal wellness program will help you to become financially wise and career savvy. InSight is integrated with your major and Core as a part of your multifaceted Champlain degree and will teach you how to maintain your well-being, negotiate your salary, manage your finances and, ultimately, set yourself apart for the jobs you want.

2

Personal Attention and Small Classes

As a transfer student, you'll appreciate our small class sizes, which provide you with individualized attention from our industry-expert faculty. Champlain professors really get to know who you are and what interests you, and they will help you push beyond your comfort zone and reach your goals. These relationships often result in exciting internship and employment opportunities that come from your teachers' network and connections and form the foundation for a lifelong professional network of your own. 3

Global Citizenship

No matter where we happen to call home, we are all citizens of a multicultural global society. At Champlain, we integrate international education into all aspects of the student experience. You may take part in study-abroad opportunities at our international campuses in Montreal, Canada, and Dublin, Ireland, as well as participate in foreign language curriculum, campus and community programming, internships, and international service learning opportunities. Learn more at our Study Abroad resources page.

4

A Professional Alumni Network

There's perhaps no greater testament to the rewards a Champlain education offers than our exceptional alumni network. As an alum, you'll have access to Champlain Connect, our virtual professional network, which offers opportunities to engage, network, locate job opportunities, and offer and seek advice and mentorship. Resources for Transfer Students

Campus Visits: Transfer students have the opportunity to sit with our Assistant Director of Admissions to make sure all of their questions are answered. We encourage you to sign up for an information session and tour campus with one of our Student Ambassadors.

Commuter Students: Living off campus can sometimes feel isolating for transfer students. We have programs to support students who commute and make the transition to Champlain as easy as possible. These programs will help you engage fully, connect with our community, and become active participants in campus life.

Single Parent Program: Being a single parent and making the decision to attend college is a big deal.
