There's no place like Vermont in winter. The natural beauty, which is spectacular throughout the year, is at its very best with mountains peaked with snow.
Not a skier or rider? There are still a number of activities to enjoy!
Experience the quiet of the Vermont winter woods and see signs of wildlife. Take a guided or self-guided tour on the trails of either Lincoln Peak or Mt. Ellen. Visit the Sugarbush website for more information including booking and snowshoe rentals.
Mad River Valley
Check out the surrounding area dubbed the Mad River Valley that Sugarbush calls home. There are several shops and restaurants to choose from. Not to be missed: Lawson's Finest Liquids for Vermont craft beer and tasty eats in a beautifully designed taproom.
Located about 30 minutes from Sugarbush Mountain Resort, Waterbury is a bustling restaurant area that features a Vermont landmark: Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour and Ice Cream Shop. In Vermont, it is never too cold for Ben & Jerry's!
Located just past Waterbury, Stowe is the quintessential Vermont town. A great spot for some local Vermont shopping excursions, fabulous restaurants, and the Von Trapp Family (yes, THAT Von Trapp family!).
Burlington, Vermont's largest city and home to Champlain College, is just under an hour away from Sugarbush and provides plenty of shopping, restaurants, concerts, and theaters settled on the shores of Lake Champlain.
