The Champlain College Center for Mediation and Dialogue provides professional development educational opportunities to aspiring, intermediate and advanced mediation and dialogue practitioners. Our educational programs include:

The  Artful Mediator Workshop Series
These workshops are for people interested in:

  • becoming professional mediators, conflict management practitioners, and/or consultants
  • expanding their skills and capacity in their current jobs, careers or positions in the community

From basic mediation skills to mediation consultant career coaching and development, participants may take individual modules or take the series to obtain a professional certification in mediation and consulting. Learn more about The Artful Mediator program.

Divorce Mediation Workshop Series
This workshop series is designed for people who intend to practice divorce mediation or Parent Coordination. The workshop employs a mixture of teaching techniques including lecture, demonstration, case analysis, and simulation. All participants will have individualized observation and feedback by experienced, practicing mediators. To successfully complete the series, participants must fully attend all sessions and demonstrate a basic understanding of the concepts and skills addressed in the training. Negotiation Seminar
This seminar will help participants to improve their negotiation results in both professional and personal environments. We will review some of the common misconceptions of negotiation and focus on developing skills for integrative, interest-based negotiation. Learn more about the Negotiation Seminar.
