Center for Publishing (formerly Champlain College Publishing Initiative)

At the Center for Publishing (CFP), we think outside the book. Since our founding in 2009, our students have had the opportunity to be actively involved in all stages of the publishing process. They've worked on dozens of print and digital publishing projects, learning skills like editing, graphic and website design, marketing/PR, event planning, social media management, and public speaking.

CFP strives to equip our students with relevant, useful skills and knowledge that they can apply to future careers in all forms of media. Putting these skills to use, our students have produced a variety of print books, ebooks, digital magazines, chapbooks, literary magazines, and video book trailers.
Curiosity is at the foundation of all that we do. Dare to be bold. To be creative. To be inspired and to challenge yourself. Join us as we ask, "How can we shape the future of publishing?"

Visit our website to learn more about our projects and to follow our blog, where we bring you creative, thoughtful insights into the state of the publishing industry.

Titled in honor of the Champlain College motto, "Let Us Dare," Audeamus is an annual collection of student essays celebrating excellence in Champlain's Core Division. Essays are nominated by Core faculty members and are preceded by introductory blurbs written by the nominating professors.

CFP works in concert with the Core Division to edit and produce Audeamus each year. Nominated students and their families are presented with print editions, and each issue is available electronically.
