Carolyn Cote

Technical Writer

Carolyn Cote Carolyn Cote is a first year student from Uxbridge, Massachusetts majoring in Professional Writing at Champlain College. Carolyn works as a Student Worker at LCDI where she is involved as a technical writer. Currently, Carolyn is working on revising the standard operating guidelines.

Carolyn occasionally performs at The Grind open mic coffee house. She spent her senior year writing a first year handbook at her high school. She named it the Freshman Survival Guide, and it was distributed to all incoming ninth graders this year. Carolyn chose the Professional Writing program because she doesn't want to be just a journalist or a novelist or even an editor. She wants to be able to make her own career. Champlain had the atmosphere she was looking for. Burlington is a beautiful city, and everyone at the school is personable. It's the right fit. Carolyn is an AP Scholar with distinction and was named one of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette's Outstanding Student Achievers for 2012.

Carolyn is really looking forward to reading project write-ups and learning about digital forensics. She is currently unsure about what she would like to do after her time at Champlain College, but she'd either like to be a music journalist or work for a government agency, specializing in writing.
