Tickets

Commencement Ceremonies: The graduate is responsible for obtaining tickets to the ceremony. They will be sent an email with instructions to access the ticket website between the third and fourth week of January 2018.

Traditional, On-Campus, Undergraduates: Each graduate is guaranteed 4 tickets to the ceremony. Each guest is required to have a ticket to enter the tent (no matter the age of the guest and whether or not they will sit in an actual seat). There are no areas available for guests without tickets, EXCEPT the simulcast location in the Alumni Auditorium. The graduate does NOT need a ticket.

The graduate will be given access to their ceremony and to the 4 tickets they automatically receive within the ticket website. Additional tickets are available in the ticket website on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please encourage your graduate to access the ticket website early, so if more than 4 tickets are needed they can obtain extra tickets while they are available.

Continuing Professional Studies (Online) Undergraduates & Master's: Each graduate is guaranteed 6 tickets to the ceremony. Each guest is required to have a ticket to enter the tent (no matter the age of the guest and whether or not they will sit in an actual seat). There are no areas available for guests without tickets, EXCEPT the simulcast location in the Alumni Auditorium. The graduate does NOT need a ticket.

Planning for the Weather

Both commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors. Please plan to dress in layers, as the weather in Vermont can be unpredictable in the spring. Please also wear proper footwear for walking on the grass.

Inclement Weather (Lightning and/or 40+ MPH Winds): A weather call will be made the morning of commencement by 6am. Please check back to the homepage of the commencement website, the homepage of Champlain College, our social media, and/or local news outlets for a revised plan for the day if an inclement weather action plan is called for. Please note, pouring rain (as long as there is no lightning or high winds) will mean the ceremony is STILL held outdoors.

Accessibility

For both commencement ceremonies, if any guest has special needs (such as wheelchairs or hearing impaired), please let us know at graduation@champlain.edu by April 1, 2018, so that accommodations can be made.

Parking

ALL: The majority of parking lots on the Champlain College campus are available for handicap parking only. Parking is also allowed on city streets, unless indicated by "No Parking" or "Residential Only" signs. We strongly recommend parking at the Miller Center at Lakeside Campus (175 Lakeside Avenue). Shuttles will be running ALL DAY. Shuttle drop-off will be on Main Street near the Champlain College Gallery, and pick-up will be on South Willard Street in front of Roger H. Perry Hall. Please make sure to check out the commencement campus map on the Commencement Campus Map page.

Pets

For both commencement ceremonies: Absolutely no pets, besides properly identified service animals, are permitted at the ceremony or reception. We appreciate your cooperation.
