Tickets

ALL: Each of your guests is required to have a ticket to enter the tent (no matter the age of the guest and whether or not they will sit in an actual seat). There are no areas available for guests without tickets, EXCEPT the simulcast location in Alumni Auditorium. You, as the graduate, do NOT need a ticket.

To access your tickets:

  1. Please go to www.champlaincollegetickets.com.

  2. Click on "Eligible Graduate? Please register or login to begin your reservation."

  3. Click on "New User Registration."

  4. Enter the information in the required fields. The email you enter MUST be your Champlain email (yourusername@mymail.champlain.edu). You will also create a password.

  5. You will then be logged into the system, and additional instructions are provided from the website.

Traditional, On-Campus, Undergraduates: Each graduate is guaranteed 4 tickets to the ceremony, and these are allocated to you in the ticket website. You MUST login to the website in order to get these tickets...even though they are already allocated to you, you still have to "order" them. If you don't need all four tickets, you are able to donate unused tickets back to a pool of additional tickets for other students to take.

If you need more than 4 tickets, additional tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the website. Please only take the number of tickets you actually need, and be fair to all of your fellow graduates!

Continuing Professional Studies (Online) Undergraduates & Master's: Each graduate is guaranteed 6 tickets to the ceremony, and these are allocated to you in the ticket website. You MUST login to the website in order to get these tickets...even though they are already allocated to you, you still have to "order" them. Commencement Attire

ALL: Please note that this is an outdoor ceremony and that the weather in Vermont can be unpredictable. Please check weather forecasts leading up to May 12, 2018, and dress accordingly. Black or dark color shoes are recommended. We ask you not to wear shorts, flip-flops or running shoes. Please be careful with high heels, as you will be walking on grass, and going up and down steps to the stage. Please do not bring items such as purses or backpacks. There is no secure place to keep them.

Inclement Weather (Lightning and/or 40+ MPH Winds)

ALL: We will monitor the weather the week leading up to commencement, but as Vermont weather can be unpredictable, we will not make an inclement weather call until late Friday/early Saturday morning. Please check back to the homepage of the commencement website, the homepage of Champlain College, our social media, and/or local news outlets for a revised plan for the day if an inclement weather action plan is called for. Please note, pouring rain (as long as there is no lightning or high winds) will mean the ceremony is STILL held outdoors.

Please note, if we have to put the inclement weather plan into action, we will be having mini-commencement ceremonies all day long in 3 locations (Argosy Gym, Champlain Room and Alumni Auditorium). This means, each graduate will only be allowed TWO guests at the ceremony.

Professional Photographs

For both ceremonies: A professional photographer from Grad Images (Fairfield, Iowa) will be at the commencement ceremony. Information and proofs will be mailed to you directly from the company so you can purchase what you like. You are under no obligation to purchase photographs. After the ceremony, you may order online at www.gradimages.com or call 800.424.3686.

Parking

ALL: The majority of parking lots on the Champlain College campus are available for handicap parking only. Parking is also allowed on city streets, unless indicated by "No Parking" or "Residential Only" signs. We strongly recommend parking at the Miller Center at Lakeside Campus (175 Lakeside Avenue). Shuttles will be running ALL DAY. Shuttle drop-off will be on Main Street near the Champlain College Gallery, and pick-up will be on South Willard Street in front of Roger H. Perry Hall. Please make sure to check out the commencement map on the Commencement Campus Map page.
