Contact the Commencement Coordinator
ALL: The Robert E. Miller Expo Centre is fully accessible. Our Commencement staff will direct our guests with special accessibility needs to a designated section of the Expo Centre. We ask that you plan for one additional family member to sit in that section, as well. The staff will assist you by moving chairs, if necessary. Please plan to arrive early.
If any guests require special accommodations (i.e. a hearing impairment) please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can make the proper arrangements in advance.
For both events, the ceremony itself will take place in Expo South (the center building on the map); student/faculty/platform party line-up will take place in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion; and the gathering following the ceremony will take place in Expo North.
ALL: There is plenty of parking available at the Champlain Valley Expo. We will have golf carts available there to assist with bringing folks from cars to the Expo Centre entrance as needed. Click here for more details and a map of the Champlain Valley Expo grounds.
We will also be providing all-day shuttle service to and from Champlain College in Burlington and the Expo. You are welcome to park on campus and take the shuttle if you prefer. Shuttle details can be found here.
ALL: Absolutely no pets, besides properly identified service animals, are permitted at the ceremonies or post-ceremony gatherings. We appreciate your cooperation.
ALL: Following each commencement ceremony, we will have a gathering for graduates, guests, faculty, and the platform party in Expo North at the Champlain Valley Expo.
ALL: A professional photographer from Grad Images will be at the commencement ceremonies. Information and proofs will be mailed to you directly from the company so you can purchase what you like. You are under no obligation to purchase photographs. After the ceremony, you may order online at www.gradimages.com or call 800-424-3686.
Ceremony for On-Campus Undergraduates (10:00 a.m.):
Due to the size of the graduating class, each graduate is guaranteed eight (8) seats for family and friends at the ceremony. In February, each student eligible for graduation will receive an email with additional information about preparing for Commencement, including a request regarding the number of guests they plan to join them in May. Once we have a sense of the initial response, we will be in touch with details about ticketing and the possibility of accommodating groups larger than eight.
Ceremony for Online and Masters Graduates (3:00 p.m.):
The size of this class allows for open seating. Champlain College Online and Masters graduates do not need to indicate how many guests will be attending Commencement.
