Below are a number of valuable resources that make the commute easy for students living off-campus.

Lakeside & Spinner Place Shuttle 

The Lakeside Shuttle picks up at the Center for Communication & Creative Media (near the commuter lounge and campus store) and the at the main entrance of the Miller Center on Lakeside Avenue. 

The Spinner Place Shuttle picks up on Maple Street next to the  Center for Communication & Creative Media and Spinner Place in Winooski.

Ride For Free On City Buses

Champlain students may ride any Green Mountain Transit (GMT) bus for free with their college ID.

Bike or Walk

It's easy to bike or walk to campus. 

CarShare Vermont

All Champlain students are eligible for a free membership through CarShare Vermont.


Parking is FREE at 175 Lakeside Avenue for Zone 1 permit holders. The Lakeside Shuttle picks up in front of the Miller Center and drops off at campus. 


Champlain College students and employees must obtain a permit for their cars each semester, regardless of where they park. It's easy and free in some cases. Learn more about parking.

All students who obtain a Zone 2 parking permit for 115 Lakeside Lot and all students who live at Spinner Place are automatically enrolled in CATMA's Guaranteed Ride Home Program.
