WHY DO WE DO LIVING AGREEMENTS?
The college roommate experience can be both wonderful and sometimes challenging. As such, it is important to communicate openly with roommates about expectations for living together. To help with this process, during the first three to five weeks of the school year, Champlain College resident assistants will meet with roommates to help them engage in conversations about how they will live together successfully.
During these conversations, students will fill out and submit a Living Agreement Form. The form helps document the expectations students set with each other and allows the Residential Life staff to assist residents with any questions, concerns, or challenges that arise involving their living experiences.
