Admissions Student Ambassador
Who are Student Ambassadors?
Student Ambassadors (SAs) are the brand ambassadors and the public faces of Champlain College. SAs represent a variety of years and majors and strive to share their passion for Champlain with visitors to the College. Many current Ambassadors are also Peer Coaches, Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, or Eco-Reps, or have volunteered with the Admissions Contribution Team (ACT) to gain experience interacting with prospective students and gain knowledge about the Office of Admissions.
What do Student Ambassadors do?
Student Ambassadors give tours of Champlain’s campus and assist with admissions events, from receptions and open houses to high school bus trips and student panels. Additionally, SAs help with Enrollment Operations, including direct mailing projects, prospective student outreach and various other operational tasks.
How can I become a Student Ambassador?
To apply to the Student Ambassador team, you must have completed at least one semester at Champlain and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. The application process includes a written questionnaire and a multi-step interview process. Hiring typically occurs at the end of a semester for the following academic year.
