SUMMARY:WGC CHATS #2: Harmony Edosomwan
DESCRIPTION:WGC CHATS (Women’s & Gender Center-Community. Healing. Activism. Teaching. Solidarity.) is an interview series where students will have the opportunity to learn from community members about their careers\, how they got to where they are now\, and how their marginalized identities challenged and strengthened them throughout their career journey. Each session will start out with the WGC Coordinator interviewing the guest and then it will be opened up to student questions. \nHarmony is a chef\, author of the book Sad Black Girl\, poet\, activist\, self-proclaimed serial-entrepreneur\, and your very own Miss Chittenden County! She is the daughter of two Nigerian immigrants and was raised in the Bronx before moving to Vermont in 2016 to attend UVM. She currently owns and operates her own Afrofusion catering business\, pop-up restaurant\, and supper club called Harmony’s Kitchen. In collaboration with DARE to Care\, each of these sessions will be aligned with our monthly wellness themes. February’s theme is Physical Wellness.
