DESCRIPTION:Champlain College students and faculty convene with area marketing professionals to share their knowledge\, experience\, and ideas on a pro-bono basis with a different Vermont nonprofit client each month. Our February client is The Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds. You’ll gain some wonderful industry contacts and build relevant experience for your resume. Students will receive the client’s completed questionnaire a few days in advance of the meeting to have time to formulate ideas. The “consultants” who gather include just-starting-out and seasoned marketing professionals\, as well as faculty\, staff\, students\, and alumni of Champlain College and other area colleges melding the community with academia. The nonprofit client completes a questionnaire outlining the marketing topic about which they are seeking advice. Consultants get access to the questionnaire in advance of the meeting to get their creative juices flowing in anticipation of sharing out during the 90-minute session. Consultants can attend just an occasional meeting or join in the conversation every month.
