DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a workshop with the Adams Center\, a local mental health treatment practice that specializes in treating Eating Disorders. The workshop will explore the impact of eating disorders across different backgrounds and communities. We will also have a calming bracelet-making activity during the workshop. All Champlain community members are welcome to attend. \nEating disorders affect 30 million Americans in their lifetime. They impact EVERY BODY\, across all backgrounds and communities\, yet it often takes years for people to recognize and seek help. Eating disorders have devastating mental and physical consequences but are too often overlooked due to a lack of understanding\, myths about who can experience them\, and a lack of accessible\, quality\, culturally responsive resources. \nThis workshop fulfills the DaretoCARETalk InSight Milestone.

DESCRIPTION:Every Wednesday\, we meet at Ireland 217 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to sketch! \nZen Sketch is a volunteer event hosted by the Animation Students and Felipe. The idea is to sketch using traditional methods. Every week we pick a theme and a challenge.The purpose is to share a moment together\, become more aware and focused\, and practice traditional sketching techniques with pencils\, colors\, or whatever you prefer. \nThis is not a drawing contest\, you’re not required to share anything. It’s more about stepping away from technology and enjoying a moment with good company and friends while sketching and having a good time. \nThis event is hosted by the Animation Program and open to the entire Champlain community.
