DESCRIPTION:Is the darkness this time of year getting you down? Use a happy light! Happy lights are now available across campus to help brighten your day—literally. \nWhat’s a Happy Light?\nA Happy light is a UV-free light therapy lamp that mimics sunlight. Consistent use can help combat Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)\, and improve mood\, sleep\, and energy. Instructions for safe use are included with all happy lights on campus. \nWhere Can I Find Them?\nHappy lights are located in IDX Fireside Lounge\, and on the third\, second\, and ground floors of MIC (Library). Looking to use it in your own space? SUMMARY:NEDA Week Workshop: EveryBODY Belongs
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a workshop with the Adams Center\, a local mental health treatment practice that specializes in treating Eating Disorders. The workshop will explore the impact of eating disorders across different backgrounds and communities. We will also have a calming bracelet-making activity during the workshop. All Champlain community members are welcome to attend. \nEating disorders affect 30 million Americans in their lifetime. They impact EVERY BODY\, across all backgrounds and communities\, yet it often takes years for people to recognize and seek help. Eating disorders have devastating mental and physical consequences but are too often overlooked due to a lack of understanding\, myths about who can experience them\, and a lack of accessible\, quality\, culturally responsive resources. \nThis workshop fulfills the DaretoCARETalk InSight Milestone.
