DESCRIPTION:Every Wednesday\, we meet at Ireland 217 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to sketch! \nZen Sketch is a volunteer event hosted by the Animation Students and Felipe. The idea is to sketch using traditional methods. Every week we pick a theme and a challenge.The purpose is to share a moment together\, become more aware and focused\, and practice traditional sketching techniques with pencils\, colors\, or whatever you prefer. \nThis is not a drawing contest\, you’re not required to share anything. It’s more about stepping away from technology and enjoying a moment with good company and friends while sketching and having a good time. \nThis event is hosted by the Animation Program and open to the entire Champlain community. Students\, faculty\, and staff are all welcome to join us!

Jim Ellefson\, unofficial poet laureate of Leicester\, Vermont\, will kick things off with an ode to all things bookish.\n6:05–6:30 PM: Welcome Address. Erik Shonstrom will welcome attendees and offer some reminders about the amazing events over the course of the festival\, as well as a quick excerpt from a recent book.\n6:30–6:45 PM: Tanya Stone Reading. Drawing from a list of publications as long as her arm\, Tanya will be mesmerizing guests with a selection from some of her works. Prepare to be enchanted.\n6:45–7:15 PM: Student Reading. Get ready. Champlainers get hectic behind the mic with an offering of poems\, stories\, and wordplay unlike anything you’ve ever heard! Boomers be warned.\n7:15–7:45 PM: Sheila Liming Reading. Offering some excerpts of her work\, Sheila will delight\, intrigue\, and dazzle attendees with her insight and charm. Feel free to come ‘hang out’ with her! Pun intended.\n7:45–8:15 PM: Book Olympics Trivia with Prizes!
