SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn: Prompt Craft and AI Fluency: Elevating Your Use of Generative Tools
DESCRIPTION:Most generative AI content is generic by design—but your thinking doesn’t have to be. This workshop is for professionals ready to move beyond casual prompting into more intentional\, thoughtful collaboration with AI tools. Drawing on structured frameworks (RACE\, PARE\, RAPPEL) and the AI Fluency model\, we’ll explore how to design prompts that reflect your goals\, values\, and context—not just your task. You’ll work hands-on with your chosen AI platform to practice real-world use cases\, refine your own prompt style\, and consider how fluency—not just functionality—shapes trust\, quality\, and effectiveness in AI-assisted work. \nAbout the SpeakerElaine Young\, Ph.D.\, currently serves as the Department Chair for Marketing\, Media\, and Esports Management at Champlain College Online\, overseeing programs including Bachelor’s degrees in Digital Marketing\, Digital Media\, Esports Management\, Marketing Communication\, and Marketing Management\, and the Graduate degrees in Marketing Analytics. She has been a committed member of the Champlain community for over 23 years\, serving students in many capacities as a professor\, program director\, and assistant dean in the Stiller School of Business\, and now at Champlain College Online.
