DESCRIPTION:Join Champlain alumni and current students on the slopes of Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush\, followed by an alumni gathering at Lawson’s Finest Liquids\, a nearby brewery! The Office of Alumni Relations will provide light fare and refreshments throughout the day\, Champlain swag\, and prizes! \n\n9:30 AM to 3 PM – Ski & Ride Day\n3:30 PM to 5:30 PM – Alumni Gathering at Lawson’s Finest Liquids\n\nCan’t make it for the ski & ride time? Join us at the brewery. Registration covers the Ski & Ride Day and the Alumni Gathering. \nTransportation: Alumni are responsible for providing their own transportation. There is a limited number of seats available on the bus from campus for those who are unable to provide their own transportation to the mountain. Please note the bus from campus will only take you to and from the mountain and will not include Lawson’s. \nSki & Ride Info: Attendees are responsible for providing their own lift tickets and gear or rentals. Please reach out if corresponding expenses are a barrier to your attendance or if you need assistance with transportation.

DESCRIPTION:In this session led by Assistant Director of Niner Finances at UNC Charlotte and Champlain College alum\, Nadine Jones\, attendees will gain an understanding of different types of retirement plans and accounts\, core concepts to help make informed decisions\, and receive guidance on how to enroll. \nDisclaimer: This session is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advising. \nAbout the speaker:Nadine Jones is a 2025 Champlain College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Professional Studies and minors in Finance\, Social Work\, and Business. Jones is a certified personal finance counselor dedicated to expanding financial literacy within BIPOC and low-income communities. At Niner Finances\, she helps bring financial literacy awareness to students across campus by hosting workshops and guiding both new and returning undergraduate and graduate students through essential money management topics. She supports traditional and nontraditional students as they build strong financial habits\, understand their spending behaviors\, and work toward the goals they set for themselves. Outside of work\, Jones enjoys fellowshipping with friends and relaxing by any body of water\, especially at sunset.

DESCRIPTION:Giving Day is one of the biggest days of the year for our community\, when students\, parents\, alumni\, faculty\, staff\, and friends come together to support the student experience. \nThis year\, you have the chance to make a difference for the areas of Champlain that matter most to you. \nA member of the Board of Trustees donated early for Giving Day\, and YOU get to decide where the money goes. These challenge funds can be sent to any area of Champlain College\, including a specific club\, program\, office\, initiative\, or scholarship. Ie: Esports\, ODI\, Champ 101\, Art Gallery\, Support-A-Student Scholarship\, Chauncey’s Cupboard\, Dance Team. \nWe are hosting a Giving Day Showdown from 5 – 6 PM\, where you can compete to win challenge funds. Contests include a whipped cream pie-eating contest\, an egg on a spoon race\, and a rock-paper-scissors tournament. \nContests are open to all current students\, faculty\, and staff. Sign up and make a difference this Giving Day! \nCan’t make the contests? Stop by the IDX Atrium from 4 – 5 PM and spin the wheel for a chance to win challenge funds\, prizes\, or bonus points for the Residence Hall Competition.
