1. Location, Date & Times

2. Parking:

There is plenty of parking available at the Champlain Valley Expo. If assistance is needed, golf carts will be available to get you from your car to the entrance.

3. Shuttles:

There will be shuttle service to and from Champlain College in Burlington for those who will require transportation to the Champlain Valley Expo. Shuttle stops are on the CCM promenade on campus, and in front of the Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Champlain Valley Exposition. Shuttles operate every 30 minutes on the :00 and :30 as needed, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. First shuttle to commencement leaves campus at 7:30 a.m. Last shuttle back to campus leaves at 6:00 p.m.

4. Tickets:

Given the amount of seating available, each student will be able to invite up to 8 guests to the ceremony. We will monitor expected attendance to ensure seating for everyone. In January, you will be sent information about filling out the Graduation and Commencement Requirements form. This form will ask you to indicate the number of guests you will be inviting. We will check in with you later in the Spring to verify this number.

5. Purses/Backpacks or other personal belongings:

Please do not bring items such as purses or backpacks, as there is no secure place to keep them. We encourage you to leave personal items like these in your vehicle.

6. Accessibility:

The Robert E. Miller Expo Centre is fully accessible. Our Commencement staff will direct guests with special needs to a designated section of the Expo Centre.  We ask that you plan for one additional family member to sit in that section, as well. The staff will assist you if needed. Please plan to arrive early. If you are a graduating student who has accessibility needs, please email

7. Pets:

Absolutely no pets, besides properly identified service animals, are permitted at the ceremonies or post-ceremony gatherings. We appreciate your cooperation.

8. Post-Ceremony Gatherings:

Following each commencement ceremony, a gathering for graduates, guests, faculty, and the platform party in Expo North at the Champlain Valley Expo. 

9. Ceremony Live Stream

Family and friends unable to be here in person will be able to watch the ceremony via the Champlain College website. The link for the stream will go live on Commencement Day.
