Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Project

  • Flexible schedules: We understand employees may have outside obligations and control of their time is a valuable benefit. We offer a flexible schedule policy to assist employees their different needs. View the policy here.

  • Short-term parental leave options: Allows employees to take an afternoon or a day off to pick up a sick child from school, attend a school performance or athletic event.

  • Paid leave is offered to mothers through short-term disability to accommodate the birth of a child.

  • Family Medical Leave enables employees to take a leave of absence for birth, adoption, placement of a foster child, care for an aging parent or family member, or to tend to their own chronic or temporary medical problems.*

  • Sick Days: We offer full-time employees 10 paid sick days per year to assist them in attending to medical or other emergencies. Part-time employees may receive a prorated number of paid sick days based on hours worked.

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance: For full-time eligible employees and their families.

  • Wellbeing program: includes a $300 wellbeing account for employee and allows full-time employees to join local gyms:

    • The Edge: with 6 locations for $8 per month.

      • Children under 18 are free to join

      • Spouses receive a 50% discount

      • Dependents 18-21 may receive a membership at $26.75

      • Part-time employees receive a membership at 35% off the annual rate or 20% off monthly.Wellbeing Hike

    • Body Resolution: with 2 locations for $5 per month

  • Family-oriented events: We believe it is important to include our employees' loved ones.

    • Champlain College Benefits: We offer full-time staff and faculty, as well as their spouse and children the opportunity to take tuition-free courses through the college (which may be subject to taxes per IRS regulations) because we value the importance of higher education.

    • Tuition Exchange: Allows dependent children under 23 to attend undergraduate programs at participating colleges tuition-free; there are a limited number of spaces each year.

    • Tuition Reimbursement: Full-time staff and faculty may can be reimbursed for educational studies at other institutions.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Benefits include emotional counseling, legal and financial consultations and referrals, health and family resources and referrals, and convenience services to support employees' total well-being.  Available to ALL employees and their extended families.  Extended families include non-family living in your home as well as parents, siblings, and in-laws.

  • Breastfeeding friendly campus: through our designated health rooms across campus and Mamava Pod.

  • Parenting classes and workshops (young and old): Previous workshops have included:
