CHAMPLAIN VALLEY EXPO

Thursday, October 11

A New Vision Session: 10:00 AM-12:30 PM
This session will focus on developing foundational elements for the strategic plan. There will be opening remarks from President Laackman, three community members sharing Champlain stories and a working session with cross-system working groups at tables exploring strategic planning focus areas and developing a next iteration of the vision statement.

  • 10:00 AM: Welcome/Hope for Session, President Laackman
  • 10:15 AM: Our Stories: Shared stories from community members of experiences, success and future hopes
  • 10:45 AM: Working Session
    • Aspirational Statement
    • Draft Focus Areas
    • Develop Additional Focus Areas

#Accomplish Anything Session: 1:15-4:00 PMThis session will focus on envisioning the future of Champlain as a thriving organization. There will be opening remarks from President Laackman, three community members sharing their Champlain stories and a working session with cross-system working groups at tables. Working groups will envision Champlain's future by considering new innovations, examining ways to build on our strengths, and areas for growth and change.

Friday, October 12

Let Us Dare Session (All Day)
This session will provide multiple opportunities for engagement for attendees. There will be opening remarks from President Laackman, three community members sharing their Champlain stories and a working session with cross-system working groups at tables. For those who want to prototype new ideas, there will be several opportunities for this type of development. There will be an opportunity to work more on the vision statement and focus areas for the strategic plan. There will be an opportunity to inventory accomplishments of the 2020 plan and the Master Plan. For the afternoon session, you can make a different choice for your topic from the morning, hear more stories from community members and we will close the day with a summary of the afternoon by President Laackman, next steps from Laurel, and a closing time together with a dessert reception.
