Since 1878, Champlain College has been providing career-focused education that meets the workforce needs of both today and the future.
Champlain is a pioneer in offering innovative Information Technology & Sciences programs that produce in-demand professionals. In fact, the Division of Information Technology & Sciences' Class of 2018 achieved 95% career success within 6 months of graduating. Of those employed, 95% are in career-relevant positions, with many securing their job offers prior to graduation.
With our Women in Technology Scholarship, we are working to address a serious workforce need, by supporting women in pursuing a technology education and career. As a guidance counselor, we are seeking your nomination for a deserving student to receive this merit-based scholarship. Renewed annually, each award provides a total of $40,000 toward the awardee's total Champlain College tuition within a technology field of study.
"Supporting women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is not only an essential part of America's strategy to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world; it is also important to women themselves. Women in STEM jobs earn 33 percent more than those in non-STEM occupations and experience a smaller wage gap relative to men. STEM careers offer women the opportunity to engage in some of the most exciting realms of discovery and technological innovation. Increasing opportunities for women in these fields is an important step towards realizing greater economic success and equality for women across the board."
—The Obama Administration
Nominated incoming undergraduate students will be eligible for one of our limited $10,000 merit-based scholarships per year, for up to four years.
