Champlain College offers a variety of pre-college summer programs for middle and high school students looking to get hands-on experience in a variety of exciting and in-demand fields.
These residential and online programs allow students to immerse themselves in a subject they’re passionate about, learn from and work with our industry-expert faculty, get a taste of college life, and add strength to their college applications. Some programs also allow you to earn transferable college credits!

Expand your skills, create new works of art and prepare your personal portfolio for college applications while you earn three college credits. Intended for those entering their senior year of high school, students choose from tracks in graphic design, film & video, game art and creative media.
(Most programs are offered as a residential program, or online)
Develop hands-on skills in all aspects of game development including design, art, animation, programming, sound, and production. Whether offered on our campus in Burlington, VT or online, students work in teams to build an original game. For students who have previously attended the Game Academy, we offer an Advanced session that allows students to dive deeper into all aspects of game development and fine-tune their skills.

Learn by doing! A 14 day hands-on residential program that offers a stimulating curriculum designed to introduce students to the fields of digital forensics and cybersecurity at the college level.

Learn the professional methods of visual storytelling techniques while earning three college credits. Gain skills in the production of video and audio for journalism, radio, social media, as well as field and studio multi-camera production.
