Do I Need to Quarantine?
Quarantining guidelines can be confusing—especially as you work to navigate changing rules and varied restrictions that differ from state-to-state. Hopefully we can help.
Please use the following tool to help clarify whether you will need to quarantine (either at home before arrival at Champlain or on-campus). Our arrival and quarantining guidelines are set to comply with Vermont regulations meant to protect the state from future outbreaks of COVID-19.This tool presumes the following:
- You are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
- You have not recently exposed to anyone with a known case of COVID-19.
- You have not visited a "quarantine county" as outlined here within the last 14-days.
If any of the above do not apply, you are REQUIRED to quarantine. If you are ill or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 you must complete your quarantine at home.
Please Note: This data is accurate as of August 1 and is subject to change. Per the Vermont Governor's directive for returning students, after August 1 any changes to non-quarantine counties cannot be applied to a returning student's need to quarantine or not.To learn more about traveling to Vermont from out-of-state and to receive the most up-to-date information on travel restrictions, visit the state's Cross State Travel Page.
