Do I Need to Quarantine?
Quarantining guidelines can be confusing—especially as you work to navigate changing rules and varied restrictions that differ from state-to-state. Hopefully we can help.
According to current restrictions in the state of Vermont, if any of the the following are true, you must quarantine:
- You are arriving from out of state, or
- You have left the state of Vermont since January 8, 2021, or
- You have remained in Vermont but attended multi-family gatherings since January 8, 2021
Once you have returned to Vermont, you are advised against any non-essential travel, including within Vermont, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students are encouraged to stay in Vermont for the duration of the semester to avoid the need to quarantine on your return to the state.
If you must travel, you are required to notify the College by completing this form that will allow the Student Health Center to advise you on quarantine requirements, including the possibility of arranging quarantine housing. All members of the campus community are required to follow the State of Vermont Cross State Travel Requirements if traveling out of state during the fall semester.
