What do all careers require across industries? The ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
With a minor in writing, you'll explore at least three different genres—from technical forms like journalism and grant writing to more creative forms like poetry and fiction. This exposure will increase your media literacy skills, as well as your ability to communicate with different target audiences.
A minor in writing can also scratch that creative itch you might experience if you're pursuing a STEM major. Many of our Game students and those with majors in our ITS division take writing classes for that exact reason. A minor in writing adds creative expression into your curriculum while providing technical skills that will benefit you no matter what career path you choose.
