Jen Macneil was born at 3 PM in Newton-Wellseley hospital on April 21, 1996, and is the editor and resident tall girl at Chivomengro. As a Professional Writing major at Champlain, she spends most of her time staring out windows, analyzing her existential dread and then writing essays about it.
Jen hails from suburban Massachusetts where she was a 16-year-old prom queen runner up. You can follow her on twitter @jenmacneil, but if you don't, it's not a big deal.
Will Lanthier is Chiv's social media guru-boy. He loves going to weird concerts in basements, petting strangers's dogs and spending his entire paycheck in an hour, making him broke for the next two weeks.
If Will isn't on his phone tweeting he is probably sending screenshots of your tweets to his friends.
Couldn't use 100 words to describe myself seriously or comically, so I'm stuck at 40.
Anthony Mahon II. 18. Broadcast Media Production major. Deep voiced debonair. Fantasy football enthusiast and reigning champion of 12-man league. Protects Lil B at all costs. Periodically rage quits video games. Able to down a large pizza by himself.
Kerry Cunningham is a zealous writer from Chicago who also happens to be a spirited scholar at Champlain College. As a student, she enjoys taking advantage of being able to write papers and stories any way she wants, as well as waiting until the last minute to write said papers and stories.
In her copious amounts of free time, Kerry enjoys playing music, wandering around the CCM building, watching Broad City and editing photos on VSCO. At 5'2, she hopes to one day become 5'3. If that doesn't work out, she aspires to become a writer for Saturday Night Live.
Gillian English emerged from the swamps of Shreveport, Louisiana in order to attend Champlain College. She is a Professional Writing major who does some writing and a lot of procrastinating. So, she appreciates that Chivomengro allows her to do both. A champion time-waster, she spends her time patrolling the streets of Burlington for signs of extraterrestrial life and taking Buzzfeed quizzes.
Sue Te is a filmmaking major who loves fake grain and brick walls.
She is from New York, but since moving to Vermont she is trying to be nice to strangers.
She shows up 2 hours early to everything, forgets to text back and wears sunglasses indoors. The oxford comma is important to her.
Peter Moore is an artist. Majoring in Creative Media at Champlain College, his work has an air of nihilistic humor that can only be derived from years of depression and living in Central New York. He dabbles in a wide range of work, from acrylic painting to digital art, graphic design and creative writing. When he's not making art, he can be found spacing out in arbitrary locations, drinking an exorbitant amount of coffee or playing Counter-Strike.
Jessica Schultz is a 5-year-old with the hobbies of a grandmother who somehow snuck into college. Being a Communications major, she does whatever she wants. I have no idea if bios are supposed to be third person or not, and I knit, tweet (@consumervevo) and spend way too long in the caf. Catch her behind the desk at the Library or wearing her Birkenstocks to death.
She's from New Hampshire, but let's all agree to not talk about it.
Erik founded Chivomengro on a whim in 2012, and continues to 'lead' Chivomengro in a careless, haphazard fashion which seems to suit everyone just fine. He has admitted to a serious problem with literature—an addiction which kept him away from a dependable career-path for nearly two decades (yes, he's old).
You should send him your writing—he'd be glad to look at it and potentially, on a whim, publish it. email@example.com
Ben Demars hangs 90% of the posters you see on Champlain's Campus. He talks, he writes, he walks pretty fast and his mom sends him his horoscope every single day. Ben spends his free time hiking, eating hamburgers and acting as the voice of reason.
Shameless plug: follow him on twitter @ive_benjamin
Haley Clemens is a sequential art writer and illustrator. Her pieces feature social justice issues and personal stories. If she was a time of day she would be morning, and if she was a flavor she would be coconut.
Much like a shark needs to keep swimming forward to breathe, Haley needs to create to live. Her goals in life are to change the world through art and to learn how to make great pad thai.
Quinn Kanner is a real life Kimmy Schmidt (and she should def receive royalty fees). She is culturally ignorant, childishly cheerful and does not say bad words. Plus, she's an unfailing optimist who believes that people are good, though she won't admit it to their faces.
Additionally, Quinn has a penchant for speaking in txt and arguing about antiquated grammar constructs that no one really cares about. When not writing, she's crafting with excessive amounts of glitter and falling down flights of stairs.
My name is Eva and I don't know why I'm here.
Cameron Walsh is a 1st year Professional Writing major. He feels like nobody understands him, probably because he speaks only in languages he's invented.
His brain is best described as a bag of cats, and he plays way too many video games for his own good.
Scout Fischman's greatest accomplishments are winning prom queen in high school and having a piece published in Chivomengro. She hopes to continue writing for Chivomengro for the rest of her life, and she'd like to thank her Twitter followers for being her biggest inspiration.
Dave D'Amico writes, sometimes. He specializes in antagonizing existential dilemmas and caring too much about the mundane realities of the world. As a digital forensics major, his best writing is usually rooted in academia, specializing in technical garbage that nobody would willingly read.
From North Providence, Rhode Island, he mainly divides his time between getting lost in the woods, playing video games badly to waste time and talking about things that make you uncomfortable. Once he moseys his way through college, he's likely going to get paid to peek at your Internet history.
