The world needs artists in every setting, from studios to start-up businesses. Through internships, you can strengthen your creative voice, develop your professional skills, expand your résumé, and discover how your artistic and communicative talents fit into today's industries.
Because you'll start your major classes in your first year, you'll be qualified for internships sooner. In fact, nine out of ten Champlain students complete an internship before graduation, and one third of our students complete four or more internships by the time they graduate! With that kind of experience, your résumé will stand out when applying for your dream job.
CCM students have worked at many local and national companies, game studios, film studios, publishing houses, magazines, public relations and marketing firms, and more. Our interns are highly sought after for their artistic talents and advanced professional skills. Many of our interns get hired in full-time positions upon graduation.
We want you to be well prepared for your first internship, externship, or other fieldwork. After your first year of exploratory practical education, you'll be ready to work with your Career Advisor to take the next step.
Local and national employers turn to Champlain for college interns because they are better prepared to work in professional environments than the majority of their peers from other institutions. Many Champlain graduates receive full- and part-time job offers from the organizations where they first took their internships or externships.
