Our Office of Financial Aid is here to help you maximize all of your financial aid opportunities, understand the options available to you, and apply for various types of financial aid.

Each year, our students receive more than $37 million in Champlain scholarships. More than 90% of students received scholarship funds, which do not have to be repaid, to help pay their educational costs.

What’s up with the FAFSA?

The Federal government is currently revising how it is doing the FAFSA. As a result, the new form will be available in December 2023, not October as in previous years. Visit the FAFSA announcements page for more information.

Application Process

You will automatically be considered for Champlain’s merit scholarships along with your admission application—no further applications are necessary.

However, if you want to be considered for additional need-based aid including scholarships, grants, federal work-study and loans, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is the only financial aid application required by Champlain College in order to receive financial aid.
