Summer Send Off Gatherings

Connect with the Champlain community in your region.

This summer, we're hosting fun in-person and virtual gatherings with Champlain community members who live in your area! Starting college is a big transition. So we want to provide students and their families opportunities to build connections and make the start of the school year that much more comfortable.

Celebrate summer—and make new friends.

During these in-person gatherings, you can connect with other incoming first year students, and family members can connect with other incoming and current students' families. 

This casual get-together is the perfect way to kick off new friendships before the semester begins. For virtual events, you can keep your camera off if you choose, but we hope to see everyone's smiling faces for this event. (Pet cameos are always welcome!) 

Can't make the date for your region?

We're hosting several Summer Send Off Gatherings, and you're welcome to join any date/location that works best for you. After all, you will all be sharing the same zip code soon! Each event is a great opportunity to get to know new classmates and meet some members of the Champlain community before the fall semester.

We encourage students and family members to attend together for in-person events. For the virtual events, we hope that students and family will sign in and attend the event on separate devices, so we can hold breakout events for each group during the Summer Send Off Gathering.
